I took an existing website and redesigned it by creating a new visual framework to meet current web design standards. This class project included site assessment, user profiles, site map, wireframes, logo studies, and visual design explorations.
Andy's Orchard (www.andysorchard.com) is an old-fashioned family farm Located in Morgan Hill, CA that specializes in artisanally grown tree-ripened stone fruits, including cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots. Their award-winning tree-ripened fruit has been featured in Gourmet and Sunset magazines.
In addition to their locally grown tree-ripened fruit, they offer dried fruit, jams, nuts, confections, custom gift baskets, and gourmet food items. They are generally open for business mid-May through December.
DURATION: 8 weeks TOOLS: Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, Sketch
The current website as of February 2016 was outdated, lacked a sense of visual coherence, was cluttered and non-legible on mobile devices. The website did not match their reputation as an award-winning local farm.
